Long-term follow-up for people using an implanted hearing device

Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 85
  • You live in the community (not in a nursing facility) and plan to stay in the local area for the full study
  • You can speak and understand English well enough for visits and testing
  • You have a hearing problem that could be helped by an implanted (bone-anchored) hearing device
  • You can complete thinking/memory screening (MMSE) and have no major cognitive problems at the start
  • You are able and willing to agree to participate and follow the study plan for about 3 years
