Who can take part

  • Be 18 or older and able to sign informed consent
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) between 23 and 30
  • Have confirmed NAFLD from recent testing (biopsy or approved liver imaging within 6 months)
  • Have liver fat level of at least 10% on an H-MRS scan during screening
  • Test negative for hepatitis B and hepatitis C at screening
  • Avoid heavy alcohol use for at least 3 months before screening
