Who can take part

  • You are generally healthy and do not have known heart, lung, or major metabolism problems
  • You must fit one study group based on your questionnaire scores (PTSD, anxiety, or healthy control)
  • If you take any medications that can affect heart or blood vessel function, you may not be eligible
  • You must not currently smoke (and must not have quit very recently)
  • You cannot use illicit drugs or have heavy alcohol use
  • You must be able to do the study in English and not be pregnant
