Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 85 years old.
- You had an ischemic stroke (stroke from a clot) within the last 30 days, and it was caused by a 70-99% blockage in a major brain artery (like the internal carotid, middle cerebral, vertebral, or basilar artery).
- The blocked artery is between 2.0mm and 4.5mm wide, and the blockage is 14mm or shorter.
- You are able to care for yourself (modified Rankin Scale score 0-3), meaning you may need some help but are not bedridden.
- You can take blood thinners (dual antiplatelet therapy) and do not have bleeding risks or other major health issues like severe liver or kidney disease.
