Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 80 years old.
  • You had a TIA or stroke from a 70%–99% narrowing in a major brain artery within the last 3 months.
  • Only one specific artery narrowing is targeted, and it’s confirmed on angiography (X-ray with dye).
  • Your neurologic function is mild: modified Rankin Scale score of 0–2 before enrollment.
  • You have at least one risk factor such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking history, or heart disease.
  • You can safely and reliably return for all follow-up visits and understand the study enough to consent.
