Who can take part

  • You are age 12 to under 18, or (if recruitment is open) age 5 to under 12
  • Your kidney lupus is active Class III or IV on a recent kidney biopsy (within the past 12 months)
  • You may also have Class V along with Class III or IV, but isolated Class V alone is not enough
  • You have a diagnosis of lupus (SLE) using the SLICC criteria
  • Your urine protein is high enough at screening (UPCR above 0.5 from a first-morning urine sample)
  • In the last 12 months, you received at least one dose of IV steroid to treat this active lupus kidney episode
