NBTXR3 plus radiation with anti-PD-1 for advanced lung or liver cancers

This study tests whether adding NBTXR3 (given into a tumor) and targeted radiation to anti–PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy can improve cancer control in advanced cancers that have spread to the lung and/or liver. Participants may be assigned to different radiation approaches to try to trigger tumor shrinkage in both treated and nearby or distant tumor areas.

Who can take part
- You have advanced (metastatic) cancer in the lung and/or liver, or in soft tissue where local treatments can’t cure it
- You have at least 2 tumor spots that can be measured on scans, and they’re in the same places that can be measured again later
- You can have NBTXR3 injected into up to two tumors, and only in lung or liver tumor areas
- The study doctor can give allowed radiation doses: high-dose 50 Gy/4 or 60 Gy/10, and for one group low-dose 1.4 Gy per fraction for 4–5 doses
- You’re 18+ with good enough body function (ECOG 0–2) and blood counts/organ tests within required limits
- You can get anti–PD-1/PD-L1 immunotherapy, with up to one prior anti–PD-1/PD-L1 treatment allowed
