Who can take part

  • You have severe mitral valve leakage (mitral regurgitation), typically 3+ or worse
  • You’re considered too high-risk for standard open-heart mitral surgery (for example, very high surgical risk or major risk factors)
  • Your mitral valve problem is the kind this device targets: either “degenerative” leakage or “functional” leakage after standard heart medicines
  • You are 18 or older, and you can understand the study, agree to consent, and do follow-up visits
  • Your heart/valve shape is suitable for this “edge-to-edge” transcatheter repair using the SQ-Kyrin device
  • You do not have key stop-sign conditions like severe mitral narrowing, major recent stroke, or certain anatomy shown on scans
