Who can take part
- Your child is 1 to 5 years old and has been admitted for an acute asthma-like episode (coughing/wheezing and/or breathing trouble)
- The episode affects the child’s well-being and needs pediatric hospital care
- Your child is currently (or recently was) using a breathing medicine like SABA or ICS (possibly with LTRA, if it fits local guidelines)
- Your child does not currently take more than 400 IU (10 micrograms) of vitamin D each day from supplements
- Your child should not be hospitalized for pneumonia
