Who can take part
- Your child has had asthma-like symptoms before and received asthma medicines such as quick-relief inhalers (SABA), with or without daily inhalers (ICS) and possibly other add-on medicine (LTRA)
- You agree to have your child admitted to the hospital for the study and to follow the trial steps
- Your child is 12 to 71 months old
- You (parent/guardian) can speak and understand Danish well enough to follow study procedures
- Your child does not have a known allergy to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics
- Your child does not have significant liver or kidney problems, serious heart rhythm/QT problems, or certain brain/mental health conditions
