Targeted brain stimulation for OCD with contamination symptoms

If you have the “contamination” type of OCD and meet the safety and medication rules, you may be able to join and see whether this targeted treatment reduces symptoms.

Who can take part

  • You’re age 18 to 55
  • Your main diagnosis is OCD
  • Your OCD symptoms mostly involve contamination worries (based on a specific OCD severity rating)
  • Your contamination symptom score is at least 8 on the study scale
  • You either take no psychiatric meds or you’ve been on a stable dose for at least 4 weeks (no changes allowed during the study)
  • You haven’t started a new exposure/response prevention therapy (ERP) in the last 4 weeks
