Computer training to improve attention in sickle cell disease

Who can take part

  • Your child has sickle cell disease (SCD)
  • Your child is 8 to 16 years old
  • Your child has been getting monthly blood transfusions consistently for at least 3 months
  • Your child must score high enough on an attention test at the start (to move into the training phase)
  • Your child’s learning ability score (IQ estimate) must be 70 or higher
  • Your child can use a computer and understands English well enough to participate
