- You can sign a consent form to join the study
- Your leukemia is ALL and is Ph-negative (not Philadelphia-chromosome positive)
- You have not had any previous treatment for ALL
- Your ALL is not a “mature B-cell” type (certain test results like sIg+ and specific chromosome changes)
- You do not have major health problems that could make certain chemotherapy drugs unsafe (especially serious heart, severe lung, significant liver or kidney problems, or serious neurologic issues)
- You do not have uncontrolled infections with HIV, HTLV-1, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
