Who can take part

  • You are under 60 years old (not a child and not older than 60)
  • Your cardiac arrest was sudden and witnessed, with CPR started right away
  • The emergency team believed it was caused by the heart
  • At the first medical check, your heart rhythm was VF or pulseless VT and defibrillation was attempted 3 times without return of pulse
  • Automatic CPR with the LUCAS chest compression device was used
  • You were transferred to the emergency department in under 30 minutes and ETCO2 was over 10
