  • You had a cardiac arrest (heart stopped) that did not respond to usual lifesaving efforts (CPR and defibrillation).
  • The cardiac arrest was not caused by an injury (like a car crash).
  • A special emergency team (ECMO TEAM) was called to place or try to place an ECMO machine in the field.
  • You or your family member agrees that your medical information can be used for this study (you do not have to sign, but you can say no).
  • You are 18 years old or older.
