You might be eligible if you had a witnessed arrest, got bystander CPR, and your first rhythm was shockable, as long as the emergency team can reach the hospital in 30 minutes.

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • Your cardiac arrest was witnessed by someone.
  • A bystander started CPR on you.
  • Your first heart rhythm was a shockable type (ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia).
  • You have no prior 'do not resuscitate' order and no known severe disease that would make survival unlikely.
