Who can take part

  • You have IgM-related blood condition: MGUS or Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM)
  • Your nerve disease fits chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy on nerve testing, with an anti-MAG level of at least 10,000 BTU
  • Your symptoms have worsened within the last 24 months, and the total time having the disease is 5 years or less
  • You have not taken immune-related medicines recently (no immunoglobulin in the last 3 months; no immunosuppressive therapy or long-enough steroid treatment in the last 6 months)
  • Your main blood counts are high enough (white blood cells ≥ 1500 and platelets ≥ 75,000)
  • You can safely take rituximab: no prior rituximab, no severe allergy to similar antibody medicines, and no significant uncontrolled heart/lung/kidney/liver disease or serious infections
