Who can take part

  • You should be otherwise healthy and not have diabetes or chronic kidney disease
  • You should not have a history of heart or lung disease
  • You should not take blood-pressure medicine (antihypertensive drugs)
  • Your kidney function must be strong (eGFR at least 60 mL/min/1.73m²)
  • Your blood phosphorus level must be in a safe range (not below 2.4 or above 4.5 mg/dL)
  • You must not be pregnant and must not have phosphate allergy
