Who can take part
- You’re age 18 or older, and your liver cancer diagnosis is confirmed by pathology (biopsy or similar test).
- Your liver cancer is “beyond Milan criteria,” meaning it’s larger/more advanced than the standard transplant size limits but still transplant-eligible in this study.
- You haven’t had prior cancer treatment for HCC (no chemotherapy or immunotherapy), and you must be able to get TACE if you join.
- You must be on the liver transplant waiting list, and you should not need any other solid-organ transplant besides a liver.
- Your health status is good (ECOG performance score 0–1), and your key labs are adequate (hemoglobin, platelets, bilirubin, albumin, and clotting tests).
- You can take pills by mouth, swallow medicines, and you can sign consent and follow the study plan; if you have HBV or HCV, you must be willing to take antiviral treatment as required.
