Who can take part

  • You must have a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
  • Your liver cancer must not have spread to other parts of your body.
  • You cannot have surgery to remove the cancer or a liver transplant, but you can receive TACE, a procedure that blocks the tumor's blood supply.
  • Your liver function must be good (Child-Pugh score A), and you should be fairly active (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You must not have had certain health problems like uncontrolled high blood pressure, bleeding in the past 6 months, or recent blood clots.
