Who can take part
- Be between 40 and 70 years old
- Have at least 3 risk factors for coronary artery disease (CAD)
- Have a normal kidney filtration test (GFR greater than 90)
- Have no prior diagnosis of CAD, confirmed by a heart CT angiography showing no CAD
- Not already be taking colchicine; and you must not be allergic to colchicine
