Who can take part
- You have esophageal or gastroesophageal junction cancer proven by biopsy (adenocarcinoma).
- Your tumor is HER2-positive (either strong HER2 staining, or weaker staining plus a special HER2 test).
- Your cancer is considered operable (can be surgically removed) by the study team’s multidisciplinary review.
- You’re 18 or older, and your overall health score is 0–1 on the ECOG scale.
- Your blood counts and organ function (kidneys, liver, bone marrow) are adequate, and your heart pumping function is strong (LVEF ≥55%).
- You can attend follow-up visits at the treatment center and you provide signed consent.
