PET scan for adrenal hormone condition before and after treatment

Positron-Emission Tomography

Treatments studied

Part of Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This trial uses a special PET scan to look at a hormone gland condition called primary aldosteronism, which can cause high blood pressure. It aims to see if the scan helps doctors plan treatment and check results.

NCT06387381Recruiting· Early Phase 1
PET scan for PSMA/FAP-positive cancer

This trial tests a special PET scan using a tracer that attaches to certain markers (PSMA and FAP) found on some cancers. It aims to help doctors see where the cancer is, possibly leading to better treatment decisions.

A PET scan to find the source of excess aldosterone in the adrenal glands

This trial tests a special PET scan (using a tracer called PentixaFor) to see if it can help find which adrenal gland is making too much aldosterone in people with primary aldosteronism. The goal is to reduce the need for more invasive tests like adrenal vein sampling.

New PET scan versus blood test for adrenal condition

This trial tests a special PET scan (68Ga-Pentixafor) to see if it can replace a more invasive blood test (AVS) for finding which adrenal gland is causing high blood pressure and high cortisol levels. It may help patients avoid a complicated procedure.

New imaging test for adrenal gland hormone disorder

This trial tests a special PET scan that may help doctors find the exact cause of high blood pressure related to an adrenal gland problem. It could help decide if surgery or medicine is the best treatment for you.

Can a special PET scan improve surgery for primary aldosteronism?

This study uses a new type of PET scan (called Gallium-68 Pentixafor PET-CT) to help doctors better identify the source of a hormone problem causing high blood pressure. The goal is to see if this scan leads to better surgical outcomes compared to standard methods.
