Who can take part

  • Be an adult age 18 or older
  • Be scheduled for a lung cancer operation (left lung major resection, or right upper resection with lymph node removal)
  • Be able to read, understand, and sign the consent form
  • If you can become pregnant: use effective birth control and have a negative pregnancy test
  • Do not have a past history of swallowing/eating disorders
