  • Be able to give written informed consent
  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have a confirmed mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutation level above the study cutoff (over 20% in skeletal muscle or over 1% in blood)
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Be able and willing to follow all study visits and instructions
