Who can take part
- Be either a person with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) or a matched healthy control volunteer
- If you’re a control volunteer: you must have no tumors anywhere (including in the blood system)
- If you’re a control volunteer: you must have no kidney problems like stones, diabetic kidney disease, nephritis, or very advanced kidney failure
- You must not have inflammation or major inflammatory illnesses in other parts of the body
- Your liver, kidney, and heart function must be normal
