Who can take part
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have COPD with airflow blockage confirmed by breathing test results
- If you also have heart failure (COPD-HF overlap), your heart pumping function is reduced (left ejection fraction under 50%)
- If you have heart failure, your symptoms are mild to moderate (NYHA class I to III)
- Be stable for COPD and heart failure, with no flare-up in the last 3 months that required medication changes
- Be able and willing to do a cycling exercise test and give written consent
