Who can take part
- Be 18 or older, and be able to follow study instructions and return for follow-ups
- Have esophageal squamous cell carcinoma that fits a specific post-surgery stage pattern (T1–4, with N1–3 and M0)
- Have had curative surgery with complete tumor removal (R0) and no recurrence on scans 6–12 weeks after surgery
- Need an additional (adjuvant) treatment after surgery, as judged by the study team
- Have blood counts and organ tests within required ranges (kidneys, liver, clotting) and heart strength with LVEF above 50%
- Not have had other cancer drug treatments after surgery, and not have had prior immune therapy or anti-VEGF/VEGFR targeted therapy
