Cardiac ToxicityLung Cancer Stage IIILung Cancer Stage IIRadiation ToxicityCardiac Disease

Part of Cancer, Heart & circulation, Injuries & trauma, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial studies treatment that combines chemotherapy and radiation for people with advanced lung cancer that cannot be removed with surgery. It may help improve cure chances for patients who can complete the study tests, including heart scans.

  • Your cancer is not operable with surgery (it can’t be removed), but the plan is still curative (trying to cure)
  • Your doctors plan to give you an ECG and a cardiac MRI as part of the study
  • You can sign written consent after understanding the study

NCT05557552Recruiting
Chemo and immunotherapy plus chest radiation for stage III lung cancer

This trial studies a treatment plan that combines chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation to the chest for people with unresectable stage III non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It may help by delivering anti-cancer drugs while also shrinking tumors with targeted radiation, especially for people who are not able to have the standard “chemo and radiation at the same time.”

NCT07632365Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Immunotherapy plus chemoradiation for inoperable stage III lung cancer

This trial tests a new combination of immunotherapy and chemotherapy before and after standard chemoradiation for patients with stage III lung cancer that cannot be surgically removed. The goal is to see if this approach improves outcomes compared to chemoradiation alone.

NCT06734702Recruiting· Phase 3
Immunotherapy before chemo-radiation for advanced lung cancer

This trial tests a new approach for people with stage III lung cancer that cannot be removed with surgery. You would receive immunotherapy (to help your immune system fight cancer) plus chemotherapy first, then standard chemo-radiation, and finally more immunotherapy. The goal is to see if this sequence works better than standard treatment.

NCT06410300Recruiting
Heart and lung monitoring during lung cancer radiation and immunotherapy

This study monitors how the heart and lungs respond to radiation therapy combined with immunotherapy for locally advanced lung cancer. It aims to learn how well patients tolerate treatment and to detect early signs of side effects.

NCT07523464Not yet recruiting· Phase 1
High-dose radiation boost plus chemotherapy for advanced lung cancer

This trial tests a new approach for advanced non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be surgically removed. It combines a focused, high-dose radiation treatment to the tumor core followed by standard chemotherapy and radiation together. This may help fight the cancer more effectively.

NCT07103395Recruiting· Phase 2
Study of chemo, radiation, and dual immunotherapy for stage 3 lung cancer

This trial tests combining chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and two immune-boosting drugs (iparomlimab and tuvonralimab) as a first treatment for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be surgically removed. It aims to see if this combination improves outcomes compared to standard care.
