This trial studies whether an L-citrulline supplement can improve asthma control in people who developed persistent asthma symptoms after military deployment. If you qualify, you may be asked to track symptoms and breathing test results to see if the supplement helps.

Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old and can sign consent forms
- You have deployment-related asthma (symptoms started or worsened after post-9/11 Southwest Asia deployment) and past breathing-test results support asthma
- Your baseline asthma control is not well controlled (for example, ACQ is 0.5 or higher, or ACT is under 19)
- You can do breathing tests (spirometry) in a repeatable way, as the study asks
- You have not had a respiratory infection, or a breathing-related ER visit, within the last 4 weeks
- You can’t be pregnant, and you don’t have known allergy/intolerance to L-arginine or L-citrulline
