Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older.
- Your non-convulsive seizures must be confirmed by an EEG brain-wave test.
- You must not have responded to benzodiazepines and at least one second-line anti-seizure medicine given through a vein (levetiracetam, fosphenytoin, or valproate).
- There should not be a brain infection causing the seizure (like meningitis or encephalitis).
- You should not have bleeding in the brain (from injury or spontaneous bleeding).
- You should not currently need urgent breathing tube placement (intubation) for an immediate medical reason.
