Who can take part
- You have stage IV breast cancer (cancer that has spread beyond the breast) and the breast tumor can be removed with surgery.
- Your cancer type is confirmed by a biopsy, and the spread (metastases) is confirmed by imaging or biopsy.
- You are feeling well enough to do your daily activities and your organs (bone marrow, liver, kidneys) are working well.
- You have not had surgery for the breast tumor yet, and if you received any systemic treatment before, it was started within one year of diagnosis.
- You do not have other active cancers, and you have no more than two organs affected by cancer spread.
