This trial studies whether adding targeted radiotherapy (SBRT) to PD-1 immunotherapy plus capecitabine can improve outcomes for people with newly diagnosed metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer. You may be eligible if your cancer has responded at least to “stable disease” after an initial chemo-immunotherapy course.

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of nasopharyngeal cancer from a biopsy or cell test
  • Your metastatic cancer is newly diagnosed, and after 4–6 cycles of gemcitabine plus cisplatin with a PD-1 antibody, it has improved to more than stable disease
  • You have fewer than 5 distant metastatic spots (outside the main tumor and neck lymph nodes) and they can be treated with SBRT radiotherapy
  • Your general health is good enough for treatment (ECOG 0–2) and you are age 18–70
  • Your blood counts and organ tests (liver, kidney, and blood clotting) meet required safety levels
  • You must be able to join voluntarily, sign consent, and attend follow-up visits
