Who can take part
- You had an ischemic stroke within the last 4 weeks, confirmed by a scan (CT/MRI) or clinician diagnosis
- You can start the trial treatment within 4 weeks after your stroke, as soon as your doctors safely allow
- Your atrial fibrillation was first noticed no more than 1 year ago
- You are able to give informed consent (you or your legally authorized representative)
- You have not had AF ablation or surgery to treat AF in the past
