Who can take part

  • Be age 50 or older
  • Have a diagnosis of mild to moderate Alzheimer’s dementia
  • Score between 16 and 26 on a memory test called MMSE
  • If you take Alzheimer’s medicines like donepezil/other “cholinesterase inhibitors” or memantine, your dose must be stable for at least 3 months
  • Have no epilepsy history or any condition that makes seizures more likely
  • Have no metal implants in the head (some mouth metal is okay)
