Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You currently have, or recently had, a blood clot in the body (vein or artery) or an acute ischemic stroke
  • You can read and sign the study consent form
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding
  • You do not have certain serious situations like severe infection (sepsis), major chest clot needing a ventilator, or conditions that require urgent clot removal surgery right now
