Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have symptoms of a blood clot in the lung (sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, fainting, or low oxygen levels)
  • You have a score of 3 or higher on a standard risk assessment for lung blood clots
  • You can undergo a CT scan safely (not too sick or unstable)
  • Your kidneys work well enough (creatinine clearance ≥ 30 mL/min) and you're not on long-term dialysis
  • You are not pregnant and can provide informed consent
