Who can take part

  • You have the APOL1 gene pattern G1/G1, G2/G2, or G1/G2
  • You have kidney disease where urine protein is present (proteinuria)
  • If you join Part B, you finished Part A and did not permanently stop the study drug
  • You have not had a solid organ or bone marrow transplant
  • Your blood pressure is controlled (not uncontrolled hypertension)
  • You do not have diabetes and your kidney disease is not from another known cause (like sickle cell disease)
