Testing IOBP treatment for knee bone lesions seen on MRI

Who can take part

  • You can read, understand, and sign the consent form
  • You’re between 18 and 60 years old and have knee pain for over 3 months
  • Your MRI shows one specific subchondral bone lesion (in the tibia or femur), and it’s confirmed on several MRI views
  • Your knee ligaments are stable and your leg alignment is near straight (not more than about 5° inward or outward)
  • Your pain is at least 5 out of 10, and you’re scheduled to have the IOBP procedure
  • You must not have major exclusions like uncontrolled diabetes, recent leg surgery, active infection, or severe arthritis
