Preventing chronic bleeding from the brain’s covering after surgery

Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 or older
  • You previously had surgery for your first chronic subdural hematoma using one or more burr holes (not a larger opening)
  • Your brain scan (CT or MRI) showed the chronic subdural hematoma at the time of that first surgery
  • You can agree to both the surgery and the additional endovascular procedure, and you can follow study instructions
  • After surgery, angiography (a special X-ray of blood vessels) can be done within 72 hours
