Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 years or older).
  • You have obstructive sleep apnea with at least 5 breathing events per hour (AHI ≥ 5).
  • You are willing to consent to the DISE procedure as part of your usual sleep evaluation, and anesthesia has cleared you.
  • You do not have serious, uncontrolled health problems that make anesthesia or surgery unsafe (for example, unstable heart disease or not well-controlled heart failure/COPD).
  • You can tolerate the test equipment, including a negative-pressure ventilator, and you can do breathing testing (PFT); severe claustrophobia may exclude you.
  • No disability that would prevent you from completing the study steps.
