Who can take part

  • You have prostate cancer that is localized or locally advanced (not spread to distant organs).
  • Your cancer is adenocarcinoma (and if mixed types are present, adenocarcinoma must be over 50%).
  • Your treatment plan includes treating nearby lymph nodes with radiation.
  • Your PSA blood test is under 100 ng/mL.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for prostate cancer.
  • You can safely have this type of radiation (no certain metal implants; no major pelvic/abdominal/rectal surgery, and no inflammatory bowel disease).
