  • Child is a newborn, infant, or child in a pediatric/neonatal ICU
  • Child started intravenous antibiotics less than 24 hours ago for a suspected or proven bacterial infection
  • Parents or legal guardians can give written consent
  • Family is covered by the French social security system
  • Parents speak French
  • Child is not a very new newborn (must be at least 72 hours old)
