Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 months and 6 years old.
  • Your child has symptoms like ear tugging, ear pain, fever, trouble sleeping, or possible hearing loss.
  • Your child does not have a craniofacial abnormality (a condition affecting the shape of the face or skull).
  • Your child does not currently have ear tubes in place.
  • Your child does not have active drainage from the ear (otorrhea).
  • The caregiver screening the child can use both hands and arms.
