GLP-1 treatment to slow small blood-vessel brain damage

Who can take part

  • You are Chinese and between 55 and 80 years old
  • Your brain MRI shows early small-vessel–type white-matter changes (not from other rare diseases)
  • You can walk at least limited distances and score enough on a walking assessment
  • Your thinking test (MoCA) is below 25 but not in a dementia range
  • You can safely take a GLP-1–type medicine (no related thyroid/pancreas/eye allergy issues)
  • You can complete MRI scans safely (kidney function and implants/metal are compatible)
