Who can take part
- Be willing to sign consent and follow study and follow-up visits
- Have muscle-invasive bladder cancer planned for radical cystectomy (bladder removal) with lymph node dissection
- Be age 18 to 75, and have stage T2–T4a, N0, M0 on CT/MRI/PET-CT
- Tumor must be urothelial (bladder) cancer with HER2 positive on biopsy (IHC 2+ or 3+ verified) and have remaining measurable tumor after TURBT
- Be able to have immunotherapy and surgery safely: ECOG 0–1 and acceptable blood tests (including hemoglobin, neutrophils, platelets)
- Have heart pumping function with LVEF at least 50%, and meet key organ blood-work limits (kidney/liver and potassium)
- If you can become pregnant or can father a child: use effective birth control during treatment and for 6 months after, with a negative pregnancy test (for those who can become pregnant)
