Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a current major depressive episode, and your depression rating is high enough (HRSD 18 or more).
  • You still have suicidal thoughts beyond the initial screening, with a score of 4 or higher on the Beck Suicidal Ideation scale.
  • You can pass study safety checks for TMS (brain stimulation) and MRI (brain scan) and you can safely have an MRI.
  • Your depression has not responded to at least two antidepressant tries in this current episode (either not effective at a proper dose, or not tolerated).
  • You must be able to consent and attend the outpatient treatment visits on schedule.
