Brain stimulation for stubborn depression: intensity study

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a current diagnosis of major depression (major depressive disorder).
  • You have tried at least two different antidepressant treatments that did not work well enough.
  • You are on a stable dose of your current depression medicine for at least 4 weeks.
  • You do not have a metal implant, pacemaker, or other device that would prevent MRI or TMS.
  • You are not pregnant and do not have a history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or a recent substance use problem.
