Who can take part
- You can understand the study and sign consent
- You are age 12 to 75 (or age 18+ if you’re a household contact)
- You have APECED and severe alopecia areata (at least 50% scalp hair loss at screening)
- Your hair loss has lasted more than 6 months, with no current hair regrowth
- You have tried other alopecia areata treatments and they didn’t work, or you didn’t tolerate them
- You must avoid new alopecia treatments for 2 months before starting and use antiviral prevention (valacyclovir)
