Who can take part

  • Be between 16 and 40 years old
  • Have knee pain focused at the kneecap tendon (patellar tendon) that started at least 12 weeks ago
  • Currently have pain when you load that tendon (for example, with single-leg squat/jump tests) and are tender to touch over the tendon
  • Do sports/training at least once per week for the past year
  • Have a VISA-P score under 80 (a sports knee symptom questionnaire result)
  • Be willing to take non-vegetarian nutritional supplements (and not already be taking collagen)
